탭을 표현하는데 문제가 있어 질문드립니다.

안녕하세요...
탭을 표현하는데 문제가 있어 질문드립니다.

탭의 내용이 변경이 되는 사항이라..
td 의 style에 background:url 로 탭의 배경 이미지를 넣고
td 태그 내에 탭의 제목을 넣었습니다.

그리고 탭이 5개의 탭으로 구성됩니다. 아래는 첫번째 탭에서 일부 발췌한 내용입니다.
아래 탭의 구성은 문제가 없으나...
문제가 되는것은 배경이미지가 처음에 페이지가 로딩되었을 때는 올바르게 나오나
탭을 누르면 배경이미지가 없어지기도 하고 탭의 일부분만 배경이 나오기도 하고 그러네요.

이런경우 어떻게 조치를 해야 되는지 여러분들의 의견 부탁드립니다.

IE6.0에서 발생하는 문제네요..
IE8.0에서는 올바르게 나온다고 하는데...음...

제가 받은 디자인 표준을 고려하지 않은 HTML이랑..
저렇게 바꾸기가 무지 힘드네요..
